Today several digital methods are available out of which some are given below
- Prepaid Card, Credit Card and Debit Card
Each bank issues prepaid card, credit card or debit card on your account. You have to go to the nearest branch of your bank. On several occasions, some banks approach you and provide card facility. You can use prepaid card only when you have already money in your account. The card can be used at any sale place or online marketing.
- USSID based Mobile Banking (Rs. 99 – National Unified USSD Plate)
For this facility, you must have a bank account alongwith an ordinary phone. Internet facility is not necessary for it. The customer can make payment upto Rs. 5000/- per day. In order to avail this facility, first of all you have to link your mobile number with your bank account. This can be done either by visiting the bank branch, ATM or online. On registration, you will get a MPIN, which you will have to remember. Under it, you can very easily transfer funds without smart phone and without internet. After linking the account with mobile dial Rs. 99. Put short three digits or first four digits or IFSC code of your bank. Now, select the Option Fund Transfer – MMID. Put mobile number and MMID of the PAYEE. Then put the amount and your MPIN. Give space and put last four digits of your account. In this way your money can easily be transferred.
- Aadhar Enabled Payment System (AEPS)
Under this facility, your account is to be linked with your aadhar number. Now there is no need to remember PIN for doing transactions. Under it, transactions take place at sale places (micro ATMs) Through Banking Assistant (BC) Between the banks. One can have information about fund transfer, deposits made, transfers and balance under AEPS.
4 E- Wallet (E-Batuwa)
It is used for purchasing goods online through computer or smart phone. In order to put money in digital batuwa, bank account of any person is to he linked essentially. Most of the banks and some private companies have E-Batuwa. There is a monthly limit of Rs. 20000 in Consumer Batuwa, Rs. 50000 in trader Batuwa and Rs, 1,00,000 with KYC. To operate E-Batuwa it is Necessary to have a bank account, smart phone, internet connection and a free wallet app.
- Unified Payment Interface (UPI)
To avail this facility a smartphone with internet is a must. Today, there are 90 crore phones out of which 30 crore are smart phones. Mostly youth are using the smart phones. At present about 30 Banks are making available UPI facility through App. in which almost all leading banks of the country are included. (SBI App, PNB, UPI, UCO UPI, Union Bank UPI, OBC UPI and 20 other banks).
First of all, get UPI Registration at any UPI of any bank and get made unique ID. Once Registration is done, money can he received or sent easily.
Digital Transactions are for your own advantage and for making the country financially sound. While doing digital transactions some minor things are to be kept in mind. Get Your Mobile number linked with the bank account for getting regular intimations through SMS for each transaction. Don’t share your PIN with anybody. Do Transactions with trusted traders only. please ensure that nobody is spying you when you are in ATM.
