Political Resolution in New Delhi 18th February 2011

National Executive Meeting
18th February 2011 – New Delhi

Political Resolution

The nation is today facing enormous challenges on all the fronts. While there are daily reports of corruption, scam and loot of public money, the national security remains neglected emboldening the anti-national forces throughout the country. The unity and integrity of the nation is at great risk under the current Congress led UPA dispensation at the centre. The youth in the country are not only facing the challenges posed by the anti-national forces, the challenge of employment, joblessness and current state of economy too is staring at its face as never before.

The situation of Kashmir is a challenge for the nationalist youth of the country. While the separatists backed by Pakistan are openly indulging themselves in anti-India activities, the National Conference government in the State and Congress led UPA government at the Centre are seen hand in glove in acceding to their demands. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Obdullah has questioned the accession of the State to the Union of India. The interlocutors appointed by the Congress led UPA government are speaking the language of the separatists and appear to be pursuing some dubious agenda. When JKLF separatist leader Yasin Malik openly issued threats to BJYM Rashtriya Ekta Yatra, the chief minister of the State Omar Obdullah wanted the Yatra to stop. He openly took a stand opposing the Yatra while trying to appease the separatists by endorsing their stand. Just a few days back, another political party in the Valley, PDP, has come out with a distorted map of Jammu and Kashmir showing it parts divided between China and Pakistan. An agenda as part of a political conspiracy is being pursued surreptitiously in Jammu and Kashmir posing dangers for the unity and integrity of the country.

In view of the scenario above Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organized the Rashtriya Ekta Yatra which received overwhelming response from the nationalist youth. The Yatra which started from Kolkata on 12 January 2011 covered more than 3,037 kms passing through twelve states generating hope and confidence among the people. The Yatra started from the Karmasthali of Swami Vivekanand, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and marched towards the Balidansthali of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. As the Yatra progressed with the national flag handed over to the BJYM National President Shri Anurag Thakur by BJP National President Shri Nitin Gadkari it started getting spontaneous support from all section of people. A large gathering of people participated in the Yatra extending tremendous support everywhere it passed through. People came out in large numbers raising slogans like Lal Chowk Jayenge, Tiranga Fehrayenge, Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Mataram and Jahan hue Balidan Mookerjee, Wo Kashmir Hamara hai, and, Kashmir ho ya Guwahati, Apna desh apni mati. It created a new nationalistic fervour in the country inspiring the youth to come out in defense of unity and integrity of the country and generated a debate on Kashmir.

While the Yatra received massive support from the people, the government both at Centre and State responded negatively threatening the use of force and coercion. It was very distressing to see the Prime Minister opposing the Yatra yielding to the demands of separatists like Yasin Malik. The Home Minister too was seen dancing to the tunes of separatists. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister who was hell bent on stopping the Yatra right from the day one used his coercive powers most brazenly. In a most undemocratic manner, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitley, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Sh. Anant Kumar (MP), National Gen. Sec., BJP were detained at the Srinagar airport and forcibly moved out of the State borders showing scant regards for the constitutional office they hold.

Thousands of youths who had gathered at Pathankot to participate in the Yatra were not allowed to march ahead and were arrested on the borders of Jammu and Kashmir. The Rashtriya Ekta Yatra which was marching ahead peacefully was forcibly stopped. The Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha  Shri Arun Jaitley, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Sh. Anant Kumar (MP) National Gen. Sec. BJP, Sh. Shanta Kumar, National Vice-President, BJP and BJYM National President Shri Anurag Thakur were arrested along with thousands of nationalist youth and BJYM activists and detained on crossing the borders of the State. It was one of the most brazen assaults on the democratic rights of the people. It was an attack on the inalienable right of a citizen to hoist the national flag anywhere in the country. However the nationalist youth of this country could not be stopped. The BJYM karykartas went ahead and hoisted the tricolour in Srinagar on 26 January 2011. The resolve was fulfilled. The Omar Obdullah government responded with brutal attacks on these brave sons of Maa Bharati and assaulted them physically for hoisting the Tiranga. They were severely tortured and beaten up in police custody and humiliated for performing their national duty. BJYM has already taken up the matter before the National Human Rights Commission and plans to launch a nationwide campaign on the issue.

The current state of economy is also distressing. While the farmers continue to commit suicides, prices are rising unabated and employment opportunities are getting limited. The youth in the country stand neglected and facing unemployment and underemployment on a massive scale. There is no attempt from the side of the government to redress the problems of the youth. It is only busy defending and patronize the corrupts. The BJYM resolves to conduct a nationwide campaign to create massive awareness among the youth and to prepare the youth for the battle ahead.

The country has been witness a number of scams, cases of corruption, loot and pilferage of public money under the Congress led UPA rule. The news of one scam is followed by another yet there is no effective measure taken by the government to nail the culprits. CWG loot, Adarsh society scam, 2G spectrum scam and S-Band sale scam are some of the major scams shaking the faith of the people in the entire system. While the country was robbed of Rs. 1.76 lakh crores in 2G spectrum scam, in the S-Band sale scam around loss of Rs. 2 lakh crores is estimated. A former union minister has been arrested, an FIR has been lodged against a former Chief Minister, the Prime Minister prefers to maintain studied silence while his ministers indulge in defending the culprits. The person holding the post of CVC is himself charge sheeted in a scam. The Supreme Court has to intervened and record its strong observations directly and indirectly indicting the government on several occasions. But the government continues to defend and patronize corrupts and tainted. The situation is very grim. The BJYM resolves to fight against the regime of corruption and scam. The BJYM resolves to launch a nationwide movement against corruption calling upon the youths to unite and fight against the Congress led UPA rule.

Bharat Mata ki Jai! Vande Mataram!!

Political Resolution : Jaipur – Sept 2007

Political Resolution

It is a matter of great pride that we have taken birth in the birth place of Lord Sri Ram and Lord Sri Krishna. We all are proud of being called Indians. Our ancestors had a dream to establish Ramrajya in modern India. Efforts had been afoot to turn this concept into reality.  There was a time when this pious land was enslaved by foreign invaders. To free our motherland from foreign clutch, several Indian Revolutionaries i.e. Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Sukhdev Rajguru etc. Did not hesitate in embracing the noose of death.  They made these sacrifices to make our nation a world-teacher again.

Today the country is passing through very grim circumstances. Increasing unemployment and price rises are making ordinary man’s life miserable. The integrity and unity of the country is under increasing threat. Country’s internal security is under crisis. The Terrorism and Naxalism has engulfed entire country. The Indian nation is today facing several challenges. But the present performance of the UPA government during last three years has put the youth, the kisan, the labour and the ordinary man under bewilderment. Today the country is celebrating 150th anniversary of country’s First War of Independence and 100th anniversary of adoption of the Vande Matram’ as our National Song. Such occasion should serve as an instrument of infusing patriotic feelings in the country. But it is a sad commentary that the present UPA government has been using this opportunity to play vote bank politics instead of strengthening national feelings at this historical moment. The UPA government in connivance with Left parties is indulging in distortion of our glorious history. The BJYM condemns these moves of the UPA government and also warns the UPA government that the BJYM will not allow the UPA government to distort the spirit of our national song ‘Vande Matram’ and proud sagas of our glorious past.

The youth is most sufferers under the dispensation of this government. The government has no solid and positive plan to provide the employment, education and self-reliance to youths of the country. The opportunities of employment for the country’s youths have been dwindling. While around 84 lakhs youths were annually provided employment under the NDA rule, the provisions of employment under the UPA government have not been made satisfactorily. All plans of the government are facing failure and all declared projects have become the prey of corruption. The BJYM had conducted the national survey on the issue of unemployment and found that the Prime Minister has put forth a strange economics before the people of the country leading to widening of inequality between rich and poor. It is a strange phenomenon that on one hand the air-fare, luxury cars, ACs are becoming cheaper; on the other hand the prices of daily use commodities are increasing day by day. The prices of essential commodities of daily life such as pulse, rice, wheat, vegetables, oils etc. are sky-rocketing. Further, the prices of gas, diesel, petrol, cement, bricks etc. are constantly on rise. The prices of seeds and manures have hit the farmers hard. The horrible aspect of this grim situation is that food producer farmer is resorting to suicides in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala in wake of anti-farmer polices of the UPA government.

The wrong policies of the UPA government are causing expansion of the terrorism across the country. The attack on Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, bomb blast in Delhi at Deepawali occasion, bomb blast at Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varanasi – the cultural centre of the country, bomb blast in train in Mumbai – the economic centre of the country, the bomb blast in Bangalore and Hyderabad known as the hub of Information Technology of the country and the office of the RSS in Nagpur – the symbol of nationalism clearly indicate that terrorist activities have dangerously increased during last three years. Such attacks clearly prove that the terrorism causes long-term economic loss to the country in addition to the loss of life and property. The Terrorist Organisations such as Jash-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, and Hizbul Mujahideen are targeting all national symbols. It is country’s misfortune that the UPA government has been adopting soft attitude towards terrorist and fanatics. The NDA government has made all possible attempts to crush terrorism during its tenure and enacted a law – POTA to contain the terrorist activities. But the UPA government has repealed the POTA to nurse its vote bank politics. To rub salt on the wound, the UPA government is sparing no time to term it as its achievement. The BJYM therefore demands that the UPA government should immediately revive the POTA law to crush the terrorism.

Now days, the infiltration from Bangladesh is on rise. Around 2 crores of Bangladeshis had entered in India. The Supreme Court of India has equated this trespass as an invasion. But the UPA government is acting as a mute spectator. The IMDT Act which was enacted to push back the trespassers has turned into their savior. This Act was already repealed by the Supreme Court. The Congress Party and the Left Parties both are adopting wavering attitude on this issue to nurse their political ends. There is no other country in the world which is so unmindful of such type of infiltration. The BJYM strongly opposes this sort of illegal infiltration.

Today, the Indo-US Nuclear Deal is causing concerns in the mind of each alert Indian. The NDA government had also entered into strategic cooperation with US government and made deliberations on Space Technology, Atomic Energy and Hi-Tech Sectors for the benefit of each citizen. But do we need the terms and conditions which the UPA government has accepted to push through present Nuclear Deal?

We cannot limit our potentials about defensive Atomic Energy Development. The BJYM demands that this Deal should not be finalized till the international community recognises India as Nuclear Power Country.  If any Deal is to be entered into in future, it should be based on India‘s terms and conditions.

It is very unfortunate that the Congress Party and its Left Allies are now bent upon rejecting the element of Indianness.  Terming Lord Sri Ram and Holy Ramayan a myth is like an attempt to cut India‘s future generations from their roots. The Central Government by granting theoretical permission to damage Sri Ram Sethu – the life element of ancient Indians ethos, has shown that it has not given any thought to this unethical development. No greater example can be given of the UPA government’s insensitiveness towards India‘s ancient culture. The UPA government has lost the right of being called a government in true sense. The BJYM discards this government with full force at its commands.

Ten days earlier a team of Britishers came to India to extol the greatness of their ancestors who perpetrated atrocities on Indians in 1857. But it is a matter of great sorrow that our intelligence agencies have failed to get clue of their arrival in India.

The present political scenario of the country makes the fact clear that a revolutionary measure is necessary to change present state of affairs in the country. The only political party to bring out such changes in the country is at present the Bharatiya Janata Party alone. The BJP’s all efforts aim at reestablishing the glorious identity of the Bharat Mata before the world which was once conceived   by great sons of India i.e. Maharishi Arvind, Swami Vivekanand, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee etc.

The BJYM demands that one crore employments should be generated each year, the infiltration should be stopped, the terrorism should be crushed, the Naxalism should be contained. History should not be distorted; no attack should be made on centers of faith etc. The BJYM will not tolerate in future any misadventure on our country’s soil.

Resolution on Jammu & Kashmir

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National Executive Meeting
Mumbai, 14 Sept. 2010

Political Resolution

The UPA – II government has completed fifteen months of governance at the centre. Like its previous ‘avatar’’ in UPA I, it has been a government of inertia and non achievement with no specific implementation of policies of its credit. It has mostly been a governance of chaos, confusion, compromise and corruption which has thrown the youth of this nation towards a directionless, goal-less future. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha abhors such a government to run you nation.

Expansion of Maoist activities:
Maoist activities and their intensity have increased and their presence has become more effective. Maoists are now present in almost 210 districts of our country of which their presence in almost 90 of them has been intense, effective and extreme. The so called Red Corridor and other areas are spread over 92,000 Sq Km or nearly 40% of India!
Naxalism is pure and simple TERRORISM, which disguises itself with terms like “class struggle” and “social justice”. Naxalites pose a challenge to India’s democratic polity and rule of law; they pose an ideological threat that questions the legitimacy of the Indian State.

Maoism is a militarized movement which thrives on poverty to eliminate democracy and capture the Indian state through armed struggle and guerilla warfare. The Maoists believe that power will flow from the barrel of the gun. Large masses of tribal youth are being exploited and are being misled into ideologies against political freedom, individual freedom, fundamental rights, free press, independent judiciary, free and fair elections or any form of entrepreneurship. These youth are being misled to fight for “sustained poverty”.

The duplicity shown by the Congress party and UPA government is demoralizing in this fight to protect the democratic values of our constitution. Be it Rahul Gandhi who shared the dias with an alleged Maoist in Lanjigarh or Mamata Banerjee who screamed at the top of her voice in Lalgarh that the Maoist terrorist Azad was murdered by the security forces, these democratically elected leaders have brought disrepute to Indian democracy by siding with these extremists. It is clear that having half (or even more) a Maoist sitting in the treasury bench can only boost the morale of these left-wing extremists.

The UPA has failed to realize the enormity of the problem and is wasting all opportunities in the battle against Maoists. The BJYM condemns the UPA and the Congress for distorting the discourse of a strong security response against Maoists by espousing root-cause theories and treating the Maoists and tribal’s as a unified entity. BJYM is of a clear opinion that these anti-nation, anti-democracy and anti-development forces should be dealt with and eliminated.

Law and order, though a state subject, the central government cannot abandon its responsibility when this so called state subject becomes a threat to India’s sovereignty and parliamentary democracy. The Yuva Morcha suggests that the UPA should speak in one voice and curb the Maoist menace forthwith.

Price rise:
The Congress led UPA government which has assumed office for the second time under the slogan “Congress ka Haath-Aam Aadmi ke Saath” is now facing its “Waterloo” due to the rising inflation in food prices. It is tragic that inspite of renowned economists like Dr. Manmohan Singh heading the central government there has been no strategy to control the rising prices and protect the “Aam Aadmi”.

The BJYM alleges the UPA government for patronizing the interest of the middlemen at the cost of the common man. The allegations and irregularities relating to export and import of food grains also prove the same. Yuva Morcha seeks an answer from the UPA as to why it has failed to provide food grains at affordable prices when the government godowns are rotting with their stock.

The BJYM reflects on the strategy of the NDA regime under Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee where homogeneity between the farmer and the consumers was established and the nation was introduced to sound food management inspite of natural calamities. The BJYM suggests the Congress and its leaders to learn and adopt its predecessor’s successful food policies and save the “Aam Aadmi” of the country.

Commonwealth Games or Common man’s wealth Games?
It is a shame that the successful bid for the Commonwealth Games in 2003 during the NDA regime which should have brought pride to India has been thrown open to widespread and unprecedented corruption by the present government agencies and the organizers of the Commonwealth Games.

Verily this is indeed, a scam for the government, of the government and by the Government! Rumbling edifices, poor preparation, stinking corruption, ministers washing dirty linen in public, extreme nepotism, shameful planning and outright theft have become the Hall of Shame for the Commonwealth Games.

The special report of the Comptroller and the Auditor General of India (CAG) of 2009 and the findings of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) have shown that thousands and crores of public money has been siphoned off by the organizing committee of the Commonwealth Games and various departments and agencies of the Congress led Delhi government. Procurement of goods and services at exorbitant rates – for ex- Rs. 4000 plus for toilet paper rolls and Rs. 9000 plus for soap dispensers is laughable!

The BJYM demands to conduct an extensive investigation into this large scale “Scam Game”. The government should take responsibility, provide transparency and try to restore the confidence of the people of the country. The corruption in conduct of the Games will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the corrupt, inefficient and incompetent UPA Government. By shaming India in front of the International community, the UPA has lost the right to rule the country and should quit immediately.

The government and the organizers of the Commonwealth Games should realize that the largest stakeholders of the games are the youth of India. The Yuva Morcha suggests all possible measures to be adhered to, to encourage the spirit of sports among the youth and sports persons of the nation.

Illegal Migration:
Illegal migration is perhaps the greatest threat to the integrity of our country and its economy .It is known by all and the sundry that these illegal infiltrators are slowly becoming monsters even as they are busy spawning their progeny onto the streets of India, Increasing the population, causing socio-economic problems, snatching away the jobs of the legitimate Indian citizens and being in cahoots with all Anti national agencies, within and without India, CREATING AN ENORMOUS SECURITY PROBLEM.

The left and the Congress is not only turning a Nelson’s eye to this issue but its local leaders with the covert support and backing of the party are in fact encouraging this trend, undermining India’s Security and that of its citizens, only to create a Vote Bank for their parties. The unabated influx of illegal migrants from Bangladesh into Assam and the consequent change in the demographic pattern of the state threatens to reduce the Assamese people to a minority in their own state. This large scale illegal migration is a deliberate design towards fulfilling the long cherished dream of creating a greater East Pakistan and utilizing Assam as a land link to invoke disastrous strategic and economic consequences within our country. BJYM observes that due to the impending large scale infiltration from Bangladesh, the cultural survival, political control and employment opportunities of the indigenous Assamese people especially the youth will be undermined.

The Yuva Morcha demands a quick action from the UPA and Congress government in the state to address this problem. It demands an extensive and rigorous census to be done to determine the number of illegal migrants from Bangladesh in the state. The Yuva Morcha warns to desist from any misconceived notion of secularism while doing so.

Youth and Employment:
The BJYM unanimously resolves that India is one of the fastest growing nations in the world with the largest population of youth in any country. It is also observed that capacity building of this huge population of young human resources needs to be the primary impetus of our country in order to position India as a power house of knowledge and capacity thereby making India a more economically powerful and vibrant nation. It is indeed a sorry state that lakhs of educated youth vie for a few hundred group D jobs in west Bengal. This is a similar case in most of the states ruled by the UPA and the left.

It would be apt to say- Congress ka Haath bana aam aadmi ke liye abhshrap!

The Congress party promised to create one crore jobs in its 2004 manifesto but the irony is that in 2009-2010 13 lakh workers lost their jobs. “The economist” Prime Minister and his policies have failed in creating jobs or in creating an environment for entrepreneurship. This has affected every youth and especially those belonging to the weaker sections of the society. The 3% quota for the disabled too is now a myth and the disabled are feeling left out by this government.

Yuva Morcha contemplates preparation of a National Youth Mission document based on important social ingredients of “Surakshya, Sikshya, Rozgar”, to provide a strategy for wholesome, integral and economic growth of youth and India. There has been a substantial growth in industrialization and infrastructure development in our country with lesser focus on labor intrinsic employment. There is a wide gap between employment generation and per capita growth of the country.

This BJYM notes, is due to the dearth of availability of vocational training and job specific education which needs to be very sincerely addressed for employment and self -employment. The BJYM also suggests that the government needs to initiate provision for free study loans.

Role of BJYM:
The Yuva Morcha is all set to demonstrate with renewed vigor that it is the only youth movement in the country which will expose the anti-people policies and governance of UPA II. We have a new President and a fresh group of youth leaders across the country which stems to provide confidence and conviction to the youth of India. The Yuva Morcha cadre resolves to march ahead towards nation building keeping intact the values of our culture, tradition and belief

Political Resolution

We are proud to be members of that Political Party which has written its name in golden letters in the history of women empowerment in India. BJP Yuva Morcha extends its gratitude and heartiest thanks to BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh ji who not only declared that 33% seats in all organization posts will be reserved for women but made this dream into a reality. A committee for this purpose was established under the leadership of former Union Minister and present Deputy Leader of Rajya Sabha Smt. Sushma Swaraj. Due to the commitment and untiring hard work of this committee, these historic proposals become a reality.

BJP National Council adopted 33% reservation for women in all organizational posts on 28 Jan. 2008.

As rightly observed by Sushma Swaraj ji, whenever, wherever and whoever will do research on the history of women empowerment in India, will have to refer to the BJP National Council meet at New Delhi where this proposal was adopted On the contrary, UPA promised to give 33 % reservation for women and included this in its Common Minimum Programme. But even after completion of 4 years of rule or rather misrule of UPA, women reservation remains a distant dream. This is more shameful as UPA chairperson herself is a women.

Today in this Veerangna Sammelan, we want to felicitate the Woman of today. She is surging forward in her career, reaching heights which are unprecedented and unparalleled and yet is deeply embedded in her family ties – trying to fulfill her duty at home, towards her family and her children. The woman of today is inspired by the ideal of Jhansi Ki Rani – riding the horse with one hand, wielding the sword in the other, with a small child tied at the back. The woman of today is reaching the Moon as Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, heading Pepsi International as Ms. Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi, writing books and winning the prestigious Booker Prize as Kiran Desai, ranking among top 30 players of the world in Tennis and Badminton as Sanya Mirza and Saina Nehwal respectively,

Given an opportunity, she has the burning passion to prove herself in all walks of life.

Yet she has to face social, economic, political and cultural hurdles in her day-to-day life.

Socially, the problem of female infanticide, child marriage, and dowry are still rampant in many parts of India. Woman equality and woman safety are a cause of concern in our civil society. The growing incidents of molestation and rape of women by cab drivers in the BPO sectors underline the need to have employment in a safe and secure environment.

The obscene portrayal of woman in the print and electronic media not only shows womanhood in poor light but also leads to an increase in the rate of crime and violence against women. Like most offences, Crime against Women is steadily on the rise in India. Of the total crimes reported in the country seven per cent constitute Crime against Women. This may not be alarming at first sight but the point is many crimes are not reported.

In films as well as advertisements she is shown as a commodity as a symbol of consumerism. Who can forget the incident in Guwahati in November 2007when a woman who was participating in a demonstration was attacked, her clothes torn off and she was chased by a crowd of people. She ran through the lanes and by-lanes of Guwahati with her clothes torn off, crying for help. Instead of helping her, the crowd of young men clicked her nude photographs from their mobile cameras. Even the policemen, who were on duty, were silent spectators to this gruesome incident. The Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha strongly condemns such an inhuman and barbaric incident.

BJP Yuva Morcha also condemns the irresponsible and scintillating manner in which the whole incident was covered by the print and electronic media. BJP Yuva Morcha also condemns the shameful incident of torture of girls and women by the CPI (M) cadre in Nandigram. BJP Yuva Morcha also condemns the shocking incident of insulting women by a group of men in Mumbai on the eve of the New Year. Such incidents are a blot on the face of any civil society. Thus the greatest irony of the situation is that while women are marching forward full of enthusiasm and confidence in various walks of life, they have to face violence, offences relating to their gender and exploitation both at home and outside. More so when the states in which these shameful incidents have happened, are either ruled by the congress or its allies of the UPA. BJP Yuva Morcha categorically states that the youth of today especially the young girls and women of today do not expect anything from this political culture of the Congress and UPA which is responsible for the murder of Naina Sahni, Jessica Lal, Priyadarshni Mattu, Kunjum Budhraj and other such crimes against women.

Thus for a comprehensive, all-round, balanced growth of the nation, an all round growth of the women is a pre-condition.

Thus BJP Yuva Morcha demands the following and pledges to work for them :-

1. That 33% reservation should be granted to women in all the decision-making bodies. Thus they should be given 33% reservation in all Assembly and parliamentary elections.

2. That Laws against sexual harassment, violence at work places; domestic violence against women and offences relating to sexual violence should be implemented in an effective & an efficient manner.

3. That colleges imparting professional courses and vocational training centre should be opened up in villages for women at affordable fees. This will empower the rural girls & women economically.

4. That working women hostels should be established in cities in adequate numbers so that the women coming to the cities can get a safe, secure, comfortable and an affordable accommodation.

5. That day-care-centers as also crèche facility should be provided at offices employing women.

6. That more women should be recruited in the police force gender sensitization training programmes should be held at regular basis for the police force. This is especially important as in many incidents police officers instead of being protectors, have emerged as perpetrators of crime (as seen in Guwahati, Nandigram, Haryana).

7. That apart from the proclaimed self regulation by the media, some kind of a regulatory body should be made to oversee that the women are not portrayed in an obscene and demeaning manner in electronic and print media.

These are not just demands but our sincere commitment to the nation in general and womanhood in particular.

BJP Yuva Morcha pledges to give the much deserved hand of support to the woman of today in her sincere endeavors to fight the evils and obstacles which come in her way to plunge forward and do the nation proud.
